Connecting people and employers.
Upper Cumberland Workforce Development helps job seekers access employment, education, training, and support services, and matches employers with the skilled workers they need.
Local elected officials work with the Local Workforce Development Board to customize services for our area. The Board is made up of business leaders, educators, workforce program leaders, and other community leaders.
Locally led, publicly accountable.
The Board is locally nominated and reflects the 14-county region. Private-sector leaders make up 60 percent of its membership, alongside education, labor, community organizations, public assistance, vocational rehabilitation, and employment services.
As the governing body of the region's 501(c)(3) workforce organization, the Board provides oversight and fiscal accountability.
